Let’s Build a Home in Chashinama Village

Dear Family and Friends,

As we navigate this season of corona-virus and protest, we want you to know that we are praying you are all well. Joy and I have found ourselves abiding in the presence of our Lord. We believe that this is a time where the Lord is setting the table in the presence of our enemies and we should be feasting. There are many revelations being released.

Call unto me, and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things of which you do not know.

Jeremiah 33:3

I recently learned that “mighty” in Hebrew is “mysterious”. Imagine that! If we do our part and call unto God, He does His part and is the One who reveals mystery’s.

One such mystery is the blessing of ministering to the widow and orphan. Today we want to share about a young woman, a widow with four young boys in a remote village in Zambia. Chashinama village is about twenty miles north of the capital of Lusaka. Like most of the villages in and throughout Africa, many of the people have died from HIV and Aids. The young woman below has lost her husband and is taking care of four young boys. On our last outreach her homestead was the first we visited. When we arrived she was taken by surprise and asked where we came from. We told her we were there to deliver food, when she broke down and started crying. She stated that they had no food in their home and asked ” are you guys angel’s from Heaven”. Needless to say everyone was happy especially the young boys. As you can see in the pictures below they live in thatch roof homes. The boys home has broken down and is covered in plastic trash bags to keep the rain out.

When we saw where these children live we asked God, what can we do to help this family. In response to His leading we have decided to build a small three room house for them. We can use new brick and put a metal roof. This will provide a safe and dry living quarters where the mom can stay in the same dwelling with her boys. As a partner with Tower of Strength Ministries you are becoming the hands and feet of Jesus and fulfilling the words of this widow when she asked if we were angels. We are asking all of you to consider donating as we change the the world one family at a time.

This project will be an answer to prayer for a young widow that is struggling to raise four young boys. We can impact the life of this family and together see the kingdom of God advancing on earth as it is in Heaven. Our goal is to raise $12,000 which will allow us to complete this build and continue to do the work the Lord has presented to us. As a partner know that we continue to pray prayers of blessing, over your families and businesses. May the Lord richly bless the work of Your Hands.

THANK YOU for your faithfulness.

Love with all the affection of Christ Jesus,

Kevin and Joy

Pure and undefiled religion before our God and Father is this: to care for the widows and orphans.
